The GGFG Regimental Association has the aim and objectives are as follows:

 

1. To promote the public understanding and support of the roles, ceremony, traditions and contributions to Canada of the Governor General's Foot Guards
    

2. To act as the custodians of the assets, other than Crown property of the Regiment, including but not limited to collections of medals, silverware, objects of art, and funds donated to the Regiment, or affiliated organizations
    

3. To generate funds for the support of Regimental activities, the Regimental (2784) Cadet Corps, and the veterans of the Regiment through the Association
    

4. To promote, stimulate and enhance amongst the membership the continuing comradeship which developed while serving with the Governor General’s Foot Guards
    

5. To promote and assist in the well being of its members and their families.
