Application Procedures

Notes:

Essays may be as long or as short as applicants/nominees feel necessary to support their candidacy.

Applicants/nominees shall be assessed on how well they meet the following criteria.  These are the same characteristics, traits & attributes the GGFG expects of its soldiers, however, the regiment believes they are equally applicable in civilian life:

  • Pursuit of excellence
  • Going above and beyond
  • Overcoming adversity
  • Drive and determination
  • Pride of service to the community and country

It would be helpful if candidates were to indicate how they would use their award if they were to win (i.e. university tuition, trades training or other productive use).

In the event several applications/nominations are close in quality, the Committee will arrange interviews (as necessary) to act as a “tie-breaker”.

Questions related to any aspect of the Applications/Nominations process may be directed to the GGFG Youth Achievement Awards Committee at ggfgyouthawards@gmail.com up to 72 hours before the submission deadline.
